Our extra-large live-edge chopping boards are made from some of the finest single pieces of English oak we can source — wide, thick, and with that sweeping natural edge that makes a kitchen feel like a proper cook’s space. Every board is hand-selected, prepared and finished in our Surrey Hills workshop, made to order to the exact dimensions that suit you.
These are the boards you’ll recognise from the worktops of serious home cooks and television chefs — the James Martin style that has become synonymous with quality kitchen craft. They are not small. They are not subtle. They are exactly what they look like: exceptional.
Your board arrives plain or personalised with engraved lettering along the square edge — names, initials, dates, or a motif from our collection of hand-carved symbols. A private message can also be engraved on the underside, invisible to guests but always there for those who know to look.
About the live edge: All bark is removed during production. What remains is the raw, natural profile of the tree — authentic, individual, and entirely unrepeatable. Small natural marks and imperfections in the edge are part of what makes each board its own. Any cracks or splits found during production are filled with colour-matched wax.
Rubber non-slip feet are supplied with every board. Engravings are in capitals as standard; lower case available on request. Allow 7–10 working days. Please contact us for a specific date.
