Our framed end grain chopping boards take the butcher’s block construction of our classic end grain range and surround it with a solid hardwood frame — creating a board that is as visually striking as it is technically superb. Made entirely by hand in our Surrey Hills workshop from solid English oak and American Black Walnut, these are among the most impressive boards we produce.
The contrast between the chequered end grain centre and the long grain frame creates a board of real sophistication — something that looks extraordinary on a kitchen counter and works even better in practice. The end-grain surface remains kinder to knife blades than any flat-grain alternative, and the construction only improves with age and regular oiling.
Available with personalised engraving along the frame edge — names, initials, a date, or a carved motif — and with the option of a private message on the underside. Cutout handles and a surface juice groove are also available.
