Our engraved handwriting chopping boards take something irreplaceable — a signature, a message, a few words written by hand — and preserve it permanently in solid English oak. We scan the original handwriting and engrave it directly into the timber, so what comes back is not a font approximating someone’s writing, but the real thing. Their loops, their crosses, their particular way of forming a letter.
Made to order in our Surrey Hills workshop, these boards have become one of our most popular leaving gifts — for teachers who have made a difference, for colleagues moving on, for mentors, for friends. A class signature, a farewell message from a team, a note written years ago that deserves to last. Each board is a different story.
They are also deeply personal gifts for other occasions — a parent’s handwriting preserved for a child, a grandparent’s recipe in their own words, a message from someone who is no longer here.
