More Than a Surface — a Statement

A good cheeseboard rewards the care that went into laying it. The selection of cheeses, the chutneys and accompaniments, the bread and crackers — all of it deserves a surface that does it justice. Our personalised wooden cheese boards are made from solid English Oak and American Black Walnut, hand-finished in our Surrey Hills workshop, and built to be the most beautiful thing on the table.

These are not mass-produced boards from a kitchen retailer. Every board is made individually, by hand, from properly selected timber. The difference is visible before you even put anything on it — in the depth of the grain, the smoothness of the surface, the warmth of the timber when you pick it up.

A Range to Suit Every Kitchen and Every Occasion

Our personalised cheese board range covers a variety of styles, sizes and materials to suit different tastes and different uses. Classic rectangular and round boards are available in solid oak or walnut. Our oak and slate cheese boards combine the warmth of solid oak with the cool, natural elegance of slate — creating a board that is visually striking and practically ideal, with the slate surface providing a perfect cool platform for soft cheeses and charcuterie.

Round cheese boards bring a generous, welcoming quality to the table that rectangular boards cannot quite replicate — perfect as a centrepiece, as a gift, or simply as the board you reach for every time you want to lay out something worth sharing.

Engraved to Make It Entirely Personal

Every cheese board in the range can be personalised with engraved lettering — a family name along the edge, a set of initials, a significant date, or a motif from our collection of hand-carved symbols and zodiac signs. The engraving is cut directly into the timber, not printed or branded, and it will be as crisp in twenty years as the day the board arrived.

A private message can also be added to the underside — a toast, a dedication, or a recipe that belongs to the occasion. It is the kind of detail that transforms a beautiful object into a genuine keepsake.

Our engraving on curved and round surfaces is particularly beautiful. The lettering follows the form of the board, and when the oil is worked into the timber for the first time, the engraved grooves deepen in tone in a way that is genuinely striking.

The Perfect Gift for Cheese Lovers and Generous Hosts

A personalised wooden cheese board is one of those gifts that lands perfectly almost every time. It is beautiful, practical, and immediately personal. For a housewarming, a wedding, a fifth anniversary, a significant birthday, or simply for the person who always does the hosting and deserves something properly made — a personalised cheese board communicates care and quality in equal measure.

It is also a gift that earns its place in the home permanently. Unlike flowers or consumables, a beautifully made wooden cheese board is something the recipient will reach for every time they lay out a spread — and every time they do, they will know who gave it to them.

Finished to an Exceptional Standard

Every cheese board leaves our workshop treated with multiple coats of our 100% natural, vegan-rated, food-safe oil — pure plant-based oils with no solvents, no hardeners, and nothing harmful. The oil is worked in by hand until the timber is fully nourished and the surface has the depth and warmth that only properly finished wood achieves.

We check every board before it leaves — turning it over, assessing the engraving, checking the finish on every edge and surface. Nothing leaves our workshop unless it meets the standard we have maintained since we started making these boards.
