Made from American Black Walnut — one of the world’s most coveted cabinet timbers — our walnut live edge chopping boards bring a depth of colour and richness of grain that oak simply cannot match. Each board is hand-selected for its character, cut with the natural waney edge preserved, and finished by hand in our Surrey Hills workshop.
This is the kind of board that changes how your kitchen feels. The James Martin-style silhouette, the warm dark chocolate of the walnut, the honest natural edge — together they create something that earns its place on display as much as in use. Made to order to your chosen size, 3cm thick throughout.
Your board can be left beautifully plain or engraved with lettering along the square edge — initials, a name, a date, or a motif from our carved symbol collection. We can also add a personal message to the underside: a wedding reading, a poem, or simply something private between you and the person you’re giving it to.
About the live edge: All bark is removed during production — both for hygiene and because kiln-drying causes it to detach over time. The natural edge profile remains intact, authentic and entirely individual. Any small natural imperfections are filled with colour-matched wax.
Non-slip rubber feet are included. Engravings are in capitals as standard; lower case available on request at checkout. Allow 7–10 working days, or contact us if you need it by a specific date.
